Harrison
Leaded Glass Creations by Harrison have received overwhelming audience acceptance at shows and exhibits throughout Georgia and South Carolina. Most recently he received the 2006 First Place in Heritage Crafts at the Arts in Hartwell Festival. His works now reside in private collections as far away as California and Europe. In addition numerous commissioned pieces today adorn residences throughout the Southeast. Gene
is a native Georgian and graduated
from Georgia Tech with his bachelor
and master degrees in electrical
engineering. Following his retirement
from the Medical College of Georgia
in 2000, Gene and his wife, Carol
Anne, made Blairsville, Ga. their
permanent home. Gene has been
a stained glass craftsman The current Leaded Glass Creations collection consist of autonomous window panels, lampshades, mirrors, standup sports figurines, wind chimes as well as an extensive selection of sun catchers. New additions include window panels incorporating Depression Glass plates and bowl tops and wind chimes designed around a Depression Glass plate and 3 – 4 pieces of old silver plate flatware. Each item is an original design by Gene. Gene Harrison is listed in WHO'S WHO IN THE SOUTH AND SOUTHEAST and his Leaded Glass Creations have been featured in SUNSHINE ARTISTS USA, the Glass South issue of GLASS STUDIO, and listed in GEORGIA CRAFTS COASTAL PLAINS. He is currently an active member and President of the High Country Artisans, Inc.
