Gene is a native Georgian and graduated from Georgia Tech with his bachelor and master degrees in electrical engineering. Following his retirement from the Medical College of Georgia in 2000, Gene and his wife, Carol Anne, made Blairsville, Ga. their permanent home. Gene has been a stained glass craftsman since 1973. Having been an amateur artist since early school days, he gradually developed his painting skills in pastels, watercolors and oils before gravitating to stained glass. During this early period a strong preference for floral designs developed and is readily seen in many of today's CREATIONS.
The current Leaded Glass Creations collection consist of autonomous window panels, lampshades, mirrors, standup sports figurines, wind chimes as well as an extensive selection of sun catchers. New additions include window panels incorporating Depression Glass plates and bowl tops and wind chimes designed around a Depression Glass plate and 3 – 4 pieces of old silver plate flatware. Each item is an original design by Gene.
